Bread Matters Courses
Booking online, payment and cancellation
To book your place on a course, please complete the booking form on our website. Alternatively, you can book by telephoning us on 01968 660449.
When you book a course online you will receive a message confirming your booking, receipt of your payment and other details. You will need to reply and tell us the name of the person coming on the course, their dietary preferences etc.
For 2-, 3- and 4-day courses a non-returnable deposit of 25% is required to secure your place (if you are booking more than four weeks ahead). Full payment, or the balance of payment, must be received no later than four weeks before the start of the course. You are welcome to pay the full amount on first booking. The 25% deposit option is not available for one-day courses.
If you have already paid in full and need to cancel your booking, we will refund 75% of your total payment providing you ask us to do this at least four weeks before the course. Prepaid deposits are not refundable. You may wish to take out insurance in case you are unable to attend your chosen course for any reason. Bread Matters Ltd is not liable for any losses incurred if you have to cancel your booking.
We would only cancel your booking if we were unable to provide the course place due to circumstances beyond our control. In such a case, we would attempt to offer you a place on an alternative course. If this was not possible, or was unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the reservation. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Purchasing Baking Equipment
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our shop pages and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, go to 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need so that we can deliver your purchase.
We accept payment by cash, cheque, bank transfer or PayPal.
You can pay online by credit/debit card via Secure Trading or by PayPal. If you prefer, you can order by telephone and either give us your credit card details, arrange a bank transfer or send a cheque.
Cheques should be made payable to ‘Bread Matters Ltd.' Orders will not be despatched until the appropriate payment has cleared our account.
Shipping And Handling
Parcels up to 2 kilos in weight go by Royal Mail Parcel Post. Our choice of delivery services for larger packages in the UK and most deliveries outside the UK will vary. Unlike some online traders, we do not have contracts with large corporations or heavy discounts on our delivery costs. We try to reflect the actual, current cost of delivery in the charges we make to customers.
We usually despatch goods on Mondays and Thursdays. If you need to receive the goods by a specific date, please contact us and we will do our best to meet your deadline or, at least, give you the most accurate information we can about your delivery. Certain larger items of baking equipment are delivered directly from the manufacturer within 2-3 weeks. If your order is likely to be delayed more than this, we will do our best to inform you and supply an estimated delivery date.
Note: Occasionally, an item you have ordered may be out of stock. This is unlikely to happen but if it does, we will contact you immediately to suggest an alternative, inform you of when we will have the item available or arrange a full refund of any payment you have made.
If your purchases do not arrive in good condition, or if there is a mistake in your order, please let us know immediately and give us brief details, including the date the parcel was delivered.
We will either send you a replacement free of charge (provided we still have some in stock) or you can choose to have your money refunded.
Some items are zero rated for VAT; others attract VAT at the standard rate and this is included in the price. We are also legally obliged to charge VAT on the packing and delivery costs of larger (over 2 kg) consignments that are not delivered by the ordinary postal service.
Credit Card Security
All credit card numbers are encrypted by Secure Trading. They are not held in clear text on any website and they are not passed to Bread Matters Ltd.
